I have practiced law for decades as a trial and appellate lawyer. I am licensed in three states and have served both as a prosecutor and as a defense lawyer. I have brought multiple cases before the Colorado Supreme Court and have presented oral argument before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. I currently practice civil law.
My background makes me uniquely qualified. I will apply the law to the facts. I have the empathy to understand how a judicial decision will affect individuals appearing before the court. While holding people accountable, I will demonstrate compassion. My ability to communicate with counsel, jurors, witnesses, and parties calmly and courteously, as well as my willingness to listen and develop decisions based upon reasoned analysis qualify me for this position.
I am the Eagle Scout Adviser to Los Alamos Boy Scout Troop 22 and the 2023-24 President-Elect of the Los Alamos Rotary Club. My wife Linda and I have been married for 38 years and together we have two adopted sons, Josh and Steven. I am a graduate of the Denver University Law School and the London School of Economics. My professional background includes serving as an adjunct professor of economics.
